I haven't done a follow up on my daycare/subsidy situation since I wrote about it because I've been too busy dealing with the fallout to write about the fallout. But I'm now up and running with The New Plan, as it were, I figure it's an appropriate time to do that. This is gonna get long, and most likely bitchy, so I'm gonna cut it.

Nothing has changed this year for my income, or the AH's, from when we applied for our government daycare subsidy this time around, and when we applied for it last time around. But this time, the way that they've done the math says that we've somehow worked less eligible hours, but for more money, resulting in them reducing our daycare subsidy by 4 ( Read more... )

Okay. I have Things, and I've decided to separate them into two different posts, because they're whoa nelly different, and combining them would feel wrong. This post is all made up of good things. Thinky things and bad things will come later.

I remember when baby sneezes were cute. Kind of wee tiny and precious and adorable. That lasts as long as them getting their first icky disgusting head cold. Which, okay, they're mostly better now--no fevers, not so congested that they can't function, but they're still coughing, and there's still STUFF.
